Ding! Ding! Todd and Cris Fight For Evangeline (Soap Opera Weekly 7/25/06)

Evangeline takes a fall (literally) when the two men in her life clash over her this week on One Life to Live.

The action begins when Todd shows up with information about a surgeon who may be able to restore Evangeline's sight. Unfortunately, Evangeline and Cris are about to make love. "Todd bursts in," previews Renee Elise Goldsberry (Evangeline). "Cris and Todd fight and Evangeline gets hurt. Somehow, she ends up falling because of the confusion. They probably blame each other for being so heated that they didn't take care of her in the moment."

Evangeline is rushed to the ER, KO'ing any chances of a romantic evening with the boxer.

So, who will win Evangeline's heart? "She's smitten, if not falling in love with Cris," admits Goldsberry. "He's taken care of her in a way she never experienced. She can be vulnerable with him." As for Todd and his obsession with her, "It's captivating," adds Goldsberry. "Why does he care so much? What is THAT about? She doesn't understand it."

Evangeline isn't the only one curious about Todd's sudden interest in Van. "Blair has a huge jealous bone," warns her portrayer, Kassie DePaiva.

So don't expect Blair to throw in the towel anytime soon.
