Blair Drugs Spencer! (Soap Opera Weekly 7/18/06)

Blair resorts to truth serum to nail Spencer this week on One Life to Live. "Blair is in detective mode. She is willing to do whatever she has to to bring Spencer down," vows her portrayer, Kassie DePaiva.

Blair tries to burst Spencer's bubble over some bubbly at the Palace Hotel. "She's at the restaurant with him," sets up DePaiva. "She says she's cold and sends him out to the car. She sneaks a little truth serum in his champagne and then says they have a lot to celebrate. He says, 'Yes, we do, let's go up to the room.'"

And? "Blair starts asking him a lot of questions about his connection to Todd, his connection to Margaret, his past...." By now, Spencer has had a few sips of the champagne, "so he's feeling groggy. Blair is waiting for it to really kick in, but all he wants to do is have sex. Blair is trying to kill time. Finally it kicks in. He accuses Blair of doing it and gets very physical. It's risky. He tries to kill her."

Fortunately, Spencer passes out before he can do her any harm. Unfortunately, he does it before he spills anything.

Todd does get something out of him, however. He barges into Spencer's room and takes an embarrassing picture of Spencer, which he then slaps on the cover of The Sun. When Spencer snaps out of it and sees the photo, he presses charges against Todd for drugging him.

"Blair tries to let Todd know that not everything is as it seems, but he looks at her like she's speaking Spanish," sighs DePaiva.

Ay carumba.
