Todd's Revenge! (Soap Opera Digest 7/4/06)

Now that he has regained his strength, Todd is ready to prove that not even a lethal injection can keep him down. This week, he vows to the people of Llanview that he will reclaim his status as the powerful, feared man he used to be.

"He text messages everyone who was a help to him during his trial and gathers them all up at the Country Club and throws a party," previews Trevor St. John (Todd). At first, Todd simply expresses his gratitude, but later, when Blair and Spencer drop in, he tells them that he will have his revenge. "It looks like they want Todd to be back and worse than ever, more spiteful and vengeful than ever before," St. John smirks. "I think that's what they're thinking. That and he's trying to help Evangeline [with her blindness], which is kind of a nice little story."

So, what exactly is going on between Todd and Evangeline anyway? "Whether it's romantic love remains to be seen, but it's definite love there," St. John insists. "And jealousy, when he sees her being affectionate toward any other man. He definitely loves her. She was the only one who helped him and to help him under those circumstances, what she did was almost saintly, so he loves her for sure."

But Blair isn't done with her scheming to get back with her ex. She will continue to cozy up to Spencer to learn what she can about his misdeeds so that she can win back Todd's trust. She gets a fleeting moment of hope this week when Todd kisses her, though it doesn't end up the way she'd like. "It's almost an aggressive, grudge kiss," St. John explains. "A test to see if the kiss would mean anything and ignite any passion for him." The verdict? "He says that it didn't," St. John sighs. "But you can't have all that history together and not still have love."
