Did Todd Kill Margaret? (Soap Opera Digest 9/27/05)

Todd has proved himself capable of some dispicable things, but this week it looks like he's done the worst yet. After struggling with Margaret out on the lake, Todd suddenly emerges from the water alone, leaving an empty rowboat behind him. So, did he actually murder Margaret and his unborn son in cold blood? "They've purposely left it a little mysterious," teases Trevor St. John (Todd). "That's as much as I can tell you."

When Todd returns to Llanview, soaking wet, he certainly seems guilty, then tells Blair that Margaret won't be a problem for them anymore. "He's awfully calm because it seems he thinks she's out of his life," St. John hints. "But people are starting to get suspicious."

One of those people is the precocious Starr, who asks her father what really happened. Todd tries to tell her that Margaret simply left town, but Starr isn't so easily convinced. Later, things get even trickier for Todd when Starr overhears him having a private conversation with Kevin. "Starr hears them talking about how Margaret raped Todd," St. John previews.

As the evidence piles up against him, the question of whether or not Todd is a murderer still remains. "This time, they're not fillling the audience in, so it's mystery and not just suspense, and I like that," St. John shares. "Usually, the audience knows what's going on and just waits to see it happen. This time, they don't know."
