Todd Slips His Secret To Spencer (Soap Opera Digest 8/23/05)

OLTL's Todd tends to get awfully chatty when he's left for dead. First, Kevin found him after he escaped from Margaret, and Todd blurted that the wacko raped him. This week, Spencer finds him bleeding to death in an alley, and Todd spills that Margaret is preggers.

"It's just coincidence, it's fate," smirks Paul Satterfield (Spencer). "He finds Todd there, and [Todd] is a little delirious and tells him some things. But Spencer, being the opportunist that he is, finds a way to take advantage of the situation."

Because knowledge is power, especially to a conniving schemer like Spencer, the doctor decides to sit on Todd's little secret. "Todd doesn't know that he told [Spencer], he's sort of saving that one for the right moment," the actor previews. "The truth is, in a situation like that, Spencer doesn't have to do anything. Something will happen on its own. Todd has to resolve it or he's going to lose everything, and Spencer can just kind of sit back and enjoy knowing."

At the hospital, it's Dr. Truman who winds up saving Todd's life, making him look like a hero in Blair's eyes. "It's real simple: He has an agenda," Satterfield shares. "We don't know what that is yet. But that's not to say that he couldn't have developed feelings for someone along the way. He could. You just never know if they're really honest or not."
