Todd & Blair [2003, Part 2]

[Sam gloats after interrupting T&B's wedding to out Todd's mob lie]
Sam: She deserved to know that you were behind the hit man.
Todd: She'll never be with you, you know. Blair will never love you.

Blair: You think that this is how you get what you want, Todd? Huh? By paying Suzanne to pretend to be shot by a hit man?
Todd: Yeah, I -- I couldn't think of anything else.
Blair: How about, like, a simple "I'm sorry" or calling me up, talking to me like a normal person?
Todd: But we're not normal people.
Blair: Don't you ever want to be?
Todd: I just want to be with you. And I couldn't wait. I hate waiting, Blair.

Todd: You said that you knew me better than anybody.
Blair: I thought I did.
Todd: I'm your husband! I married you -- I don't even know how many times!
Blair: Todd --
Todd: I came back from the dead to be with you. If that doesn't mean that we're supposed to be together, then I don't know what does. You -- you tell me that you hear that. Tell me that you understand what all of that means.

Blair: I remember when you came back from the dead, standing right here in this apartment. I thought that I was never going to see you again, Todd. And there you were.
Todd: Blair --
Blair: You know what? I was standing right over here. And I asked you to go upstairs with me because I missed you so much and I just wanted you to hold me. You remember what you said, Todd? You said, "I'm going to go take a shower," and then you slept on the sofa. We both know why you did that, and we both know why you did all the other things you did -- to punish me.
Todd: Blair, it's --
Blair: Todd, there is no more forgiveness left.

Todd: (to Hank) Okay, you know that -- that restraining order that Blair had against me? I mean, it's off, right? I mean, I'm just checking.

[Blair tries to stop Mitch from kidnapping Starr by offering herself up instead]
Blair: You want a bargaining chip with Todd? You take me. He'll give you anything you want.
Mitch: Really? As I understand it, you two have been locked in a bitter custody dispute.
Blair: Not anymore.
Mitch: As of when?
Blair: Tonight. We decided that we were going to get married again.
Mitch: Is that true? Your mother and father are back together?
Blair: You tell him, Starr. You tell him how your daddy and I love each other -- that we may fight a little, but we always love each other.
Starr: They do. It's true, they love each other.

Todd: (to Starr) I'm going to bring your mother home. I know I break a lot of promises, but there's one promise that I'm going to keep.

Blair: Todd will find me.
Mitch: Yeah, well, you better hope he does.
Blair: He said he would, didn't he?

Blair: Todd loves me and he'll do anything to get me back, even make it look like that I'm in danger so he can come and play the big hero and save me.
Mitch: My, you two have some serious -- what is it they say? What is it? Issues, that's it.

Blair: You really don't know who you're dealing with, do you? You don't want Todd Manning as an enemy.
Mitch: Ooh, I'm terrified.
Blair: You should be, because he doesn't play by the rules.
Mitch: Finally, a worthy adversary.
Blair: And nothing will stop him.

Blair: (to Mitch) Todd is going to hunt you down. And when he finds you, he is going to tear you apart.

[After kissing Blair]
Mitch: Well, if I was worried, I'm certainly not now, because I know that little old Todd is going to want to have back what I just sampled. That boy would probably do anything for the juicy taste of those lips.

[A captive Blair has a dream about Todd...]
Todd: Wake up, sleepyhead. Time for us to go.
Blair: Time to go where?
Todd: It's Valentine's Day. We've got a party.
Blair: What makes you think I want to go anywhere with you?
Todd: I know your heart is filled with love and forgiveness.
Blair: Oh -- ok, ok. This is a dream. This is definitely a dream. I mean, the rose like last Valentine's Day, and you're saying all the right things. Yeah. It's a dream.
Todd: Why are you always so suspicious?

[More of Blair's dream]
Todd: Blair, relax.
Blair: No, Todd, I can't relax. I can't because I can't trust you! Now, let me go find the kids.
Todd: I'd never let anything happen to Jack or Starr. I'd die first. Look at me. I know what's going on.
Blair: You do?
Todd: Deep down, you know that the kids are safe with me. Deep down, you know you're safe with me.
Blair: Maybe.
Todd: Blair, this is your dream. You brought me here because you know that if I'm here, everything's cool.

[More of Blair's dream]
Todd: That's our song.
Blair: No, it isn't.
Todd: It is now.

[Blair's dream continues]
Todd: This is your dream, Blair. I'm here because you want me here.
Blair: No. You followed me into my dream. I -- I can't get you out of my mind, Todd. You're worse than a ghost. You haunt me -- it's not fair.
Todd: We complete each other, Blair. You know that.

Mitch: Todd is late.
Blair: He's coming for me. I know it. I can feel it.

[Todd and Mitch talk on the phone while Mitch has Blair captive]
Todd: I'm almost there. I need to talk to Blair.
Mitch: You don't give the orders.
Todd: You let me talk to Blair right now or this whole deal is off.
Mitch: Fine. Here she is.
Blair: Todd!
Todd: Blair, are you hurt?
Blair: What's happening?
Todd: I'm almost there. I'm coming to get you. And then everything's going to be ok, I -- promise you.

Blair: Todd is on his way. He's coming for me.

Blair: You have no idea what Todd is capable of.
Mitch: He's only a man.
Blair: Yeah, he's a man. But if you hurt him, you threaten him, or he feels the least bit threatened, trapped, he's like a wild animal and he attacks.
Mitch: Man has no power over God.
Blair: And it'll happen so fast, it'll be over before you know it.

Blair: You kidnapped me! You -- you threatened to torture my children!
Mitch: A sacrifice must be made to show faith.
Blair: And you know what? Todd knows it. Todd knows exactly what you did. And that is all that he is thinking about right now, and he is waiting. He is praying for this moment. He's going to find you. And god knows he will. He is going to rip your throat out!

Todd: Where's Blair?
Mitch: Patience.
Todd: No! Shut up already about your patience!

Todd: Where are you, Laurence?
Mitch: Leave Natalie there.
Todd: Not until I see Blair.
Mitch: You'll see her. Don't you want to see where I am? I'm right in front of you, right here in the audience. Over here, Todd!
Todd: I can't see you and I can't see Blair, so from now on I'm not doing anything you say!

[Blair worries that Todd's been shot]
Blair: I heard a gunshot. My God, I was so scared. Are you sure? Are you -- are you absolutely sure --
Todd: I'm fine. I'll be a lot better when the police get their priorities straight.

Blair: Mitch has Natalie?
Todd: Yeah. But is Bo, you know, out there chasing the bad guy? No, because if somebody gets hurt around here, if something goes wrong, it's all got to be my fault, right?

Todd: If Cristian hadn't barged in when he did, maybe he wouldn't have gotten shot.
Bo: You shot him, now you're blaming it on him?
Todd: I had to save Blair!

Todd: Look, we both -- we both love our kids, all right? But that's not why I'm with you or you're with me. You know that.
Blair: What is it, then, Todd?
Todd: We need each other.
Blair: Maybe -- maybe you're just a -- a habit, a really --
Todd: No.
Blair: Really, really bad habit.
Todd: Don't even say that.
Blair: Maybe I'm addicted to you. Maybe I'm just addicted to your misery. You're my drug and -- maybe I am never, ever going to be healthy until I'm away from you, Todd.

Todd: I stayed on a raft in the middle of the South Pacific to try to get back to you.
Blair: You told me you came back for the kids.
Todd: We both know that wasn't true.

Todd: Look, Blair, look, we're -- we're damaged goods. And for my own part, look, I know it's not my fault. I got two fathers. I got peter manning, bad. I got Victor Lord, even worse. Come on, you got to give me some credit here for even being able to act like a human being.
Blair: Well, we all have to grow up sometime, Todd.
Todd: Yeah, I had to grow up because of you. Blair, I didn't know who I wanted to be until I met you.
Blair: What?
Todd: I know, before that, I didn't think that I was going to be able to fit in with anybody. But --
Blair: But what, Todd?
Todd: I'm not giving up. Not as long as you're still breathing.

Todd: I'm not over you, Blair. I'll probably never be over you.
Blair: It doesn't make a life, Todd. Look at us. Look at us. We're a complete mess. We're apart more than we're together.
Todd: You need me.
Blair: I don't know what I need anymore, Todd.
Todd: I -- you got to tell me what that means.

Blair: I love you, Todd. Part of me I know always will. But I can't breathe when I'm with you. Please, let me be free.

Todd: My -- my family's in there.
Bodyguard: Yeah? So?
Todd: So, I'm going now. But I'm going to come back really soon. And if anything happens to them, I'm going to kill you.

Viki: Todd, if this is true, if Father's alive -- and that's a very, very big if -- he's going to destroy this family.
Todd: Not me. I've already felt all the pain I'm ever going to feel.
Viki: Why'd you come here today? Is it Blair?
Todd: When you think about it, really, why would she take me back? She's right. I would just hurt her again, mix up her whole life. It's what I do.

Mitch: Oh, face it, Mr. Manning. You didn't care why you shot as long as you hit something or someone. You were terribly upset.
Todd: You kidnapped my wife.
Mitch: But that didn't seem to bother you nearly as much as the thought that I may have had my way with her.

Todd: Laurence was going to kill Blair.
Cristian: So, what, you give him Natalie instead? That freak was going to cut out her heart.
Todd: I was going to kill the guy. I -- I was going to kill him and bring back Natalie and Blair, both of them.
Cristian: But if somebody was to die, it wasn't going to be Blair, right?

Roxy: I dumped Max, so I get everything in the settlement.
Todd: Yeah, all of his debts, you mean. You know, the banks have owned Holden for years now.
Blair: What, Max in debt again?
Todd: Oh, no, didn't you just hear what she said? Now she's in debt.

Todd: Blair! Blair, come on, open up! I got to talk to you! Blair!
Hedy: Mr. Manning, you're not supposed to be here.
Todd: Yeah, well, you know, Blair's not supposed to be changing the locks, either.

Todd: (to Troy) And you -- you're just a notch on her belt, right? You know what happened to Sam and to that big, tall, blond guy.
Blair: Shut up, Todd!

Todd: I've -- I've heard that sometimes I can be a hothead.
Blair: Oh, a hothead? Hmm. You threatened to kill the next man I go out with.
Todd: Sorry about that.
Blair: Uh-huh. Your sincerity needs a lot of help, Todd.

Blair: You went after Mitch Laurence with a gun? Todd, have you completely lost your mind?
Todd: Now, you know me, Blair. I'll do whatever it takes to get the job done.

[Blair realizes that Mitch has buried Todd alive in Victor Lord's sarcophagus]
Blair: Oh. Todd? Oh! I can't. I can't do it, Todd. I can't do it. I can't do it. Oh, I can't do it. Yes. This is an emergency. I need you to send somebody over to the Lord Mausoleum. Yes, behind St. James cemetery. Yes, there's somebody -- there's somebody buried in the sarcophagus. There's -- a sarcophagus! It's where -- it's this big concrete thing that they bury people in! No, no, no, the man's not dead! He's alive! He's buried alive! What? No, I'm not making this up! I'm telling you the truth! He's alive! Just -- what -- God! Todd!

[Blair talks to herself as she handles the gun she plans to use on Mitch]
Blair: That's right, Todd. I'm going to protect us.
