Blair & Langston [2006-2011]

Blair: (about Starr) She still thinks that her father and I are back together. So don't go in there and say anything that would upset her, all right?
Langston: No worries, Ms. Cramer -- or should I say Mrs. Manning?

Blair: Now, how can I help Langston?
Dorian: Blair, you of all people know what it's like to be shunted from foster home to foster home.
Blair: Feel like an outsider? You bet I do.

[Blair makes a speech to try to get Mrs. Woodrow, the social worker, to let the Cramers take care of Langston]
Blair: She's Starr's best friend, and I know Langston. She's a very sweet, considerate young woman and that's why she was worried that it would be too much for us and a burden, but you wouldn't be too much, sweetheart. And you'd never be a burden, okay? Mrs. Woodrow, did you see this house when you walked in? I mean, it's huge. There's more than enough room. And there's certainly more than enough love. I mean -- I was -- I was raised in the foster care system because I didn't have any other options, and some of the homes weren't so bad and then some were. But that's why I don't want Langston to be in just any foster home -- I want her to be in this home. I don't want this to be a temporary landing place for her. I want this to be a real home, a place where she feels that she's welcomed and loved. And I know that we can give that the childcare system is set up for people who have no place to go -- you know that. Well, Langston -- she does have someplace to go, she has us. So, please, can you just, you know, look past your rules and -- and think with your heart? I did. My aunt Dorian did. And Starr loves Langston just like a sister. Please? Can we do what's right here?

Langston: You're an amazing family.
Blair: Langston? Now you're going to be a part of it. Group hug, girls!

[Blair and Langston have just walked in on David and Dorian kissing]
Blair: So, you know, he's separated two minutes and you're already in a lip lock?
Langston: You know, this is the second time I've walked in on you kissing a guy.
Blair: Oh, welcome to the family.

[Starr has run away from home, and Langston was covering for her]
Blair: (to Langston and Markko) You know, I wish you hadn't plotted the way you did, and sometimes when things get over your head, I think it would probably be best if you told an adult. But I understand why you didn't, because Starr's dad acted like such a jerk. But that being said, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for really trying to help my little girl, okay?

Starr: (about Delphina) Okay, Mom, she gave a really great reading.
Langston: She knew the color of David Vickers' boxers.
Blair: Along with half the population of Las Vegas.

Langston: I've never had a party with a sushi chef before.
Blair: Well, you just wait until it's your birthday. I'm sure Dorian's going to close the country club.

[Langston is about to leave for Colombia]
Blair: We are going to miss you so much.
Langston: Thank you for everything you've done for me.
Blair: Oh, you bet, sweetheart. I'm proud of you.

Blair: Langston moved in with Markko.
Dorian: Langston moved in with Markko? Why didn't you stop her?
Blair: Because I'm not her mother.

Blair: Langs, you can tell me anything. You know that, right?
Langston: Are you sure?
Blair: Yeah.
Langston: Because, um, this isn't exactly a run-of-the-mill teenage problem.
Blair: Oh, good, because I love complicated.

Langston: You see, last night, Markko and I were -- having sex, and all of a sudden out of nowhere, I thought about Ford.
Blair: Oh.
Langston: I'm a virtual slut.
Blair: You are not.
Langston: I don't want to cheat on my boyfriend. I love Markko.
Blair: I know. I heard you.
Langston: Well, then I shouldn't be having sex with him and thinking about another guy.
Blair: What, you think you're the only person in the world that's ever done that?
Langston: Other people do that?
Blair: People do it all the time.

Langston: I can't stop thinking about Ford. What is my problem? I mean, he is just some guy with a hot body.
Blair: Well, Langston, sometimes that's about all you need.
Langston: He's also got good looks and a killer smile.
Blair: Ooh, that doesn't hurt, either.

Blair: Will you listen to me? You are gonna be attracted to other guys, even though you still love your boyfriend.
Langston: So, what am I supposed to do?
Blair: Nothing.
Langston: Nothing?
Blair: As long as you know who you love, you're gonna be okay.

[Blair sees Langston kissing Ford]
Blair: Is that Ford? I thought you were trying to stay away from him.
Langston: I was. I did. Markko invited him.
Blair: Oh, and you just happened to fall and land on his lips?

Blair: Look. I'm not gonna tell Markko about that kiss, and neither should you.
Langston: It was two kisses.
Blair: Oh, Langston, you really better watch it.
Langston: I know. It's just--
Blair: You don't know what you're playing with. This is serious. Be careful.

Blair: You just stay away from Langston, little boy.
Ford: What are you, her mother?
Blair: No. I'm not her mother, but I'm the closest thing that she has, and I'm watching you. You hurt Langston, and I will hurt you.

Blair: You really need to be careful, because this can get dangerous, and I don't want to see anybody get hurt.
Langston: I would never hurt Markko.
Blair: It's not Markko I'm talking about.

Langston: I don't love Ford. I love Markko. Markko trusted me. How could I cheat on him?
Blair: It happens.
Langston: Not to me, it doesn’t.

Langston: Ford -- I mean, he knew that Dorian’s sister died, and he didn't even see if I was okay.
Blair: Yeah, I know. You know what? Guys like that -- unfortunately, you're just gonna be another roll in the hay, and the sooner that you get -- I'm sorry, but the sooner you understand that and get over that creep, sweetie, the better.

Langston: Why are you so suspicious?
Blair: Oh, look. If anybody has been tempted by the bad boys, it's me, and, trust me, they may be beautiful, but they will break your heart every single time.
Langston: Well, I don't think Ford is that bad.
Blair: Uh, well, I do.

Langston: Ford didn't take your bait. He doesn't just chase after anything that moves. He's actually interested in me.
Blair: Well, I'm telling you right now, Ford is a d-o-g, dog. I know the type, sweetie.
Langston: Hmm. Well, then you better not keep Scooby-Doo waiting.

Dorian: She is, after all, my daughter.
Blair: Oh, she certainly is.

Ford: I want to reserve a corner table for tonight. Lots of privacy. I'm bringing somebody special.
Blair: Yeah? And who would that be?
Ford: And that's your business because--
Blair: If it's Langston, I will slap you silly and that's just a start.

Blair: So what about Ford? Did you sleep with him again?
Langston: You warned me. And I promised you I would stay away. I've just been so stupid, but I mean, I meant it when I promised.
Blair: I know you did. We all mean it when we say it at the time. It's just sticking with it that's the hard part.
Langston: So pathetic. Every time I would try to break up with him...
Blair: He would come up with some line to make you believe that he cared about you, or did he make you feel, like, childish and stupid for doubting him?
Langston: How did you know?
Blair: Oh, sweetie, I know the kind. They'll say anything, do anything to get you to come back for more.

Langston: I lied to Markko. I lied to Starr. I lied to Cole. The only person I didn't lie to was Ford.
Blair: Let me guess. He lied to you.
Langston: He was sleeping with the pizza girl. Yeah. I walked in on them.

Langston: How? How do I live with what I've done?
Blair: Listen. Langston, you made a mistake. It was a mistake. You wanted so much to believe everything that Ford told you. But listen to me, sweetheart. You gotta forgive yourself. Forgive yourself.

Langston: You don't need to be hearing about my problems.
Blair: Oh, I'm just glad you feel like you can talk to me about them.
Langston: Yeah. I wish I could talk to Dorian like that. Well, I mean, I -- I know that she loves me and I love her, too. It's just she always wants to give me a free pass, even when I don't deserve it. And you're not like that.
Blair: No, I kind of tell it like it is, maybe even when I shouldn’t.
Langston: Yeah. You told me someone was gonna get hurt, and you were right. Except it wasn't someone. It was everyone. I broke Markko's heart, Ford broke mine, and then he nearly ended up dead.
Blair: Come on, sweetheart. It's -- it's gonna be all right. Mistakes happen. We learn from them. Even Dorian would tell you that.

Blair: (about Langston) If you were smart, you'd stay far, far away from her.
Ford: Or what, you're gonna take my head off?
Blair: Think lower.

Blair: (about Langston) She's not a toy that you can play with, Ford.
Ford: No. She's an amazing woman.
Blair: Who's off limits to you, and it's not gonna happen again.

Blair: (about Eli) He kind of asked me to marry him.
Langston: Oh, my God, that's great.
Blair: Yeah. See? Good guys come to those who wait.

Langston: Let me see the ring.
Blair: Oh, well, I don't have one yet.
Langston: Oh. Oh, so you and Eli are gonna go pick it out together?
Blair: Well, we haven't gotten that far yet.
Langston: Oh, so, well, yeah. I guess it makes sense. If you've been married as many times as you have, ring probably doesn't matter as much.

Blair: Eli's proposal is all I have been thinking about. In fact, I even had a very long conversation with Todd about it last night.
Langston: With Todd? Really? What did he have to say about it?
Blair: You know, he was surprisingly helpful...in his subtle-as-a-freight-train kind of way.

Langston: Oh, and for what it's worth -- which probably isn't much, given my recent track record -- I think Eli is great.
Blair: Sweetie, that is worth more than you know.

[Cramer women toast]
Blair: And now...to these beautiful young women. Just know that you can always count on the women in this room to take care of you no matter what.
Langston: To Cramer women!

Langston: Blair, is there even a little part of you that wishes Eli weren't dead?
Blair: What for?
Langston: So you could make him feel as miserable as he made you.
Blair: Sweetheart, you have no idea.

Langston: (about Ford) He was coughing up blood. I had to take him to the hospital.
Dorian: And then you stayed. And then you stayed some more.
Langston: What was I supposed to do? Just drop him off at the curb?
Dorian, Kelly, and Blair: Yeah.

Langston: (to Dorian, Blair and Kelly) Oh, my God -- okay, will you guys just stop, please? Who made you guys the love experts? You got left at the altar, and you married a psycho killer, and you, Kelly, you're pining after a guy you can't even have.

Blair: Date? How am I gonna get a date? Uhh!
Kelly: Oh. Well, don't ask me.
Langston: Do you even see the irony here, Cramer women? Out of all of us, I'm the only one with even the slightest chance of a date and you're all on my case about it.

Langston: I know that Dorian loves me -- I do -- but she can't start telling Ford what I think and what I want without ever once asking me.
Blair: Well, you know, Dorian. She's not too good at asking. It's more about telling.

[Langston has decided to give Ford another chance]
Blair: Good luck.
Langston: Good luck? That's all you have to say to me?
Blair: Langston, you know how I feel about Ford. Listen, you're gonna do whatever you want to do, no matter what I say or no matter what I want, so why don't I just save my breath?
Langston: You don't think he could have changed?
Blair: In a few short months? No.

Blair: I think you're like every woman who believes what her man tells her because you want so desperately for it to be true. Listen to me. I've been down that road with Todd so many times, and look what it got me.
Langston: No. Ford is not Todd.
Blair: No, he's not, but he's been a player for a long time, and don't be surprised if he goes back to his old games.

[Langston watches Blair try to seduce Ford for her benefit]
Blair: Come on, Ford. Put your money where your mouth is. I dare you. Prove your reputation's warranted and I will certainly prove mine.
Langston: Ahem! What'd I miss?
Ford: Not a thing.
Blair: I was just giving Ford a hard time -- so to speak.

Langston: Blair, you're embarrassing yourself. Going after Ford? Really?
Blair: Langston, you're the one that's going to be embarrassed. You saw the way that he was looking at me. Yeah, I had your new so-called "loyal boyfriend" right on the hook. A few more minutes, I would have reeled him right in. I want you to remember that when he's luring you to his bed, okay?

[Langston defends Ford to Blair]
Langston: He's not that Ford, not anymore. Starr went to go find him, and I'm sure he'll be here soon. It's a special night for us.
Blair: Special as prom night, when he invited you over and you found him in bed with another girl?

Blair: (to Langston) I know that it hurts, but you need to know the truth. Men are dogs.
